Narcisse Snake Dens

A couple weeks ago the whole family had a day off. This called for an adventure, so we loaded up the van and went to the Narcisse snake dens.

This is a mass hibernation place for garter snakes. In the spring they wake up and slowly emerge from the rocks. It's sorta creepy.

Some of my siblings were quite happy to catch and hold as many snakes as they could.

I worked hard to get this photo. The area had a number of these small butterflies. But they flew so fast and in such a scattered manner it look a long time to get a close photo.

Who wouldn't want to walk down this path to see where it leads? I feel blessed to wake up every day, knowing that I walk down a path, easy or hard, that God has laid out for me.
